Hi there! I’m Matt – a regular 30-something year old guy who happens to be fitness fanatic as well as a personal trainer.
My goal is simply to share everything I know about fitness to help you become stronger, fitter, and healthier.
You bust your butt hitting the gym day in and day out yet you’re not seeing the results you want. What gives? You’re a smart guy who can figure things out and knows how to get things done.
So, then, why are you struggling so much with your fitness goals?
Chances are that you’ve seen someone lifting weights on T.V. or read a few magazine articles on “how to build the bod of your dreams.”
The truth is that just like any other sport, craft or skill, you can’t become fit overnight. Getting in shape is an art that can only be mastered over time and with a lot of experience. It takes hard work, dedication and the right technique.
Think about how all throughout school you got good grades by studying a certain subject for a few months and then applying that knowledge to pass the exam. You knew nothing of the subject beforehand, but after the semester, you could recite the entire periodic table. Your health and fitness should be treated exactly the same way. Start off by learning the basics and understanding the rules, then move on to more advanced principles.
The good news is that there is extensive science-based research available to help us figure this whole fitness thing out. The bad news is that too much information can lead to overload and not knowing where to begin.
